Los Angeles is a sprawling city with many diverse neighborhoods that the average traveler never gets to see. Among these neighborhoods is our home Koreatown or K-Town to the locals. Watching the growth of this part of the city over the years has been amazing. What used to be part of the city that many non—Koreans just drove through, is now a destination spot that rivals even Hollywood. It also seems that as of late, K-Town has been receiving much deserved attention. Not too long ago, K-Town was featured on Anthony Bourdain’s new show The Layover (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKDXO5I9KIo). Jonathan Gold (for those of you who don’t know who he is, I highly suggest checking him out) also wrote a recent issue of the LA Weekly featuring K-Town and the 60 Korean dishes everyone should know (http://blogs.laweekly.com/squidink/2012/03/jonathan_gold_korean_food_los.php). Koreatown is such a fun place to hang out in and must be visited when coming to Los Angeles.
